Last week, we ranked the craziest ballpark foods for the 2017 MLB season. The Texas Rangers were not included in that ranking, but they’ve just made a strong case for consideration.
The Rangers and Delaware North announced some outrageous new menu items that will be sold at Globe Life Park this season. And, oh my, they’re bonkers.
Behold … the Most Valuable Tamale. This 2-foot behemoth is a tamale filled with the Rangers’ 24-inch Boomstick hot dog. It’ll be covered in chili and nacho cheese. The entire item will go for $27, and the team apparently expects people to eat this.
I must admit that it looks awesome, though.
The Rangers will also sell something called ” Texas Snowballs,” which are shredded brisket covered in funnel cake batter, fried and topped with powder sugar.
They’re taking the crazy ballpark foods seriously in Texas.
